Important Spring Dates

Spring Tryouts: February 25, 26, 27 @ North Stadium from 8:00pm-9:45pm

*All paperwork and athletic fees must be turned in prior to Feb 25th*

*Teams will be set on February 27th (Varsity, JV, JVC)

*Practices: M, T, W, TH, F, Sat (Weekdays with be either 5pm-7pm or 5:30pm-7:30pm depending on team/field availability) 

*Games Start March 11th & the regular season ends after the first week of May. 

 

Spring Checklist

1. Sports packet turned into home school (visit your athletic office)
-any charter or private school players should drop off packet at Mountain Range.

2. Fee made out to school they are registering with of $150 for in district.
$250 for out of district (Academy, Pinnacle, PRA, etc.- drop off at MR)

3. Physical turned into home school.

4. Players need to make an account on arbiter athlete and select Mountain Range High School- www.arbiterathlete.com

5. CHSSA Transfer forms for all players who played lacrosse elsewhere last year.  Contact Coach LaHoda for info .

6. Mandatory Parent/player meeting at MR Auditorium @ 6pm on 2/25.

Please fill out the above registration form (free) to input player and parent info into the Mustang Athletics site. This will be our primary method of communication for all seasons. 

 

Winter Lacrosse Info

Winter open throws: 

Offseason practices will pick back up in January on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. Official spring practices will start February 25th!

Here are the dates for winter open throws: 

January: 7, 9, no practice on the 11th!, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30

February: 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22 

Practice Location: Mountain Range (meet in weight room area)- many practices will be moved outdoors to North Stadium. 

Practice Times: 6:30pm-8:30pm

Mountain Range Box Lacrosse League (MRBLL): All MR lacrosse players are eligible to compete in the MRBLL league on Saturday mornings. We will have a draft (date tbd) to form teams, and compete against each other. Box is one of the best ways to enhance skills before the spring season, and we HIGHLY recommend this program for all MR lacrosse players! Pricing and format released soon.

Clarification on CHSAA bylaw

State Statutes Application- 5060.2

Per CHSAA:

Students who have participated at another school, but whose school adds a varsity program, must return to the school where they are enrolled to participate.

Adams 12 Five Star Schools will have a District Lacrosse program for boys and girls in school year 2018-2019.  ALL students in Adams 12 who wish to play lacrosse must compete for our district team.

National Signing Day - Wednesday, February 6th

Attention senior athletes - Mountain Range will be hosting our National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 6th at 3 p.m. in the Auditorium. If you are interested in participating, please stop by the main office to sign up and pick up your signing day information form. All forms and banners are due to the Athletic Secretary by Friday, February 1st.
